Freedom Christian Academy offers food support for students 6 weeks through 12th grade through two food programs: the Child Care Food Program and the National School Lunch Program.

 

Our daycare provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack for each student at no additional cost to tuition. Our K-12 students are offered nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day

 

“Research shows that well-nourished children are healthier, more attentive, and have better mental performance than children who are under-nourished.

 

The Child Care Food Program helps child care facilities implement “best practices” to ensure children have access to a variety of nutritious foods for healthy growth and to reduce obesity risk. The CCFP and two related programs, the Afterschool Meals Program and the Homeless Children Nutrition Program, are administered by the Bureau of Child Care Food Programs.

The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) administers the Program at the Federal level. At the State level, the NSLP is administered by State agencies, which operate the Program through agreements with school food authorities.
